A completely new Distributor with new cap, rotor, contacts, condenser, bearings/bushes, oil seals and vacuum unit, assembled in the UK with weights and springs set to the original advance curve and the vacuum unit set to the original specification, just as Lucas would have built it and set it up originally. Lucas distributors are identified by the 5 figure number stamped on the body, in this case 40510. Listed as being fitted to the MGA from 1956 to 1961. Originally Lucas supplied their type DM2P4 for this car, however, some parts for that distributor are no longer available, so this new unit has been built up based on the 25D4 distributor, with spare parts more readily available for ongoing operation
